The One Summer Piece I Can't Live Without
Oh summer, how I love you so. While Fall is the undisputed best season for fashion, every year I patiently wait to shed my many layers after what's always a brutal NYC winter. Summer is tricky though - pulling fire looks while staying cool? Challenge accepted.
For days when it's sticky outside I turn to one-piece dressing. What can I steam quickly and be out the door in minutes? Enter the dashiki. Colorful and cotton (read: breathable), the dashiki originated in West Africa before slowly making its way to the U.S. and ultimately into my closet. Dimepiece created their own version in 2014 that I had to have and now I'm a fan for life.
With shorts and a five inch heel or over a tiny bikini dashikis are my go-to for looking put together on the go. Check out more photos of my dashiki moment in Barbados below!
